Explore the Lincoln-Lancaster County Genealogical Society's amazing resource library.  From books, periodicals, maps to local oral histories and online resources, the library can assist with your family research journey.  Guided by society members, you will have an opportunity to learn about what is available and receive hands-on experience with the materials.  Although the library specializes in local resources, there are also U.S. and International resources.

Join us for a full-day seminar exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming genealogy research.  Led by experts Steve Little and Mark Thompson, you'll learn practical, approachable ways to us AI to break through research brick walls, uncover patterns, tell richer family stories, and unlock hidden details in family photos--all through real-world examples and with no technical background required.

Program will be presented by LLCGS President Teresa Shane.
 
At the very root of our origins is our DNA, the small segments that come from our ancestors thousands of years ago to create the person we are now. This session described the commercially available types of DNA tests, how the tests determine your close and distant matches, and what to do with the tests results once you get them. Teresa, President of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Genealogical Society, will also discuss the cautions about DNA testing, privacy concerns, and the surprises testers may uncover.
